Changing the resource id of a report

Is it possible to change the resource id of a report without remaking it?

Hi,
Only the name of a resource can be changed at the moment. Changing the ID is not currently possible but is something that is planned for a future release.
The best option at the moment for you is to export the JRXML using iReport Designer and to redeploy it.

When will this "future release" arrive? It's been 2 years now!

It's a very critical missing feature, as you've provided mechanisms to copy input controls, yet no way to rename them, when the input control recourse ID *HAS* to match the report parameter, it's critical that you provide the functionality to rename it, and not just half implement a feature.

I have a report with several scheduled tasks to generate PDF file. When running the report manually and export to PDF, the file name is generated according to resource id which in my case is incorrect. I need to rename this so the pdf output has the new report name. This is an important feature to have, any progress with this?

If there are any updates on that? It make a lot of troubles while migrating or copying reports between repositories.

Is there any update on this? It would be very helpful. Specially when you want to clone inputControls but keeping a meaningful id (not forcing it to be named as input_control_1 if you create a copy)

Any update on this? I can't seem to find the objects referring to the report which i am trying to delete. If only i could change the ResourceID, that would have been solved the issue i am stuck at.

I just create a copy in studio, and re-name the copy!
