Sub Report Causing Im Proper Behaviour

I'm working on a report that has 2 subreports in different detail bands. The problem that i am faceing is that the first sub report only occupies half a page where as the second sub report occupies nearly 1 and a half page. Now when the first report is filled till half the page then the second report instead of starting from half the page starts from the new page. causing the first page to be filled only half. I have already set the remove line when blank property in every possible place. I dont understand where im going wrong?

Have you checked the second band's split type? If I understand what you're wanting then you need to have your second band's splitType set to something other than 'Prevent'.
