How to set pdfEncoding global?

Hi!

I have a problem with jasper Report, i have created a lot of JRXML File. Now i must change the pdfEncoding from default to "Identity-H". Is it possible to set this property global?

If there is no way to set this, the only way to set this parameter is to edit each JRXML file and set this parameter on each field.

See net.sf.jasperreports.default.pdf.encoding

You would set that property globally in jasperreports.properties.

I have read before about this property file, but i did not find information, how to bring jasper to read this file, or where it should be located,

jasperreports.properties needs to be located at the root level on a folder or jar which is included in your application's classpath.

Hi,

It is working for me. Just copy the attached jasperreports.properties file (containing the property net.sf.jasperreports.default.pdf.encoding=Identity-H) in the application's src folder.

Hey,

 

Two things come to mind,

1.  You have to make sure the jar, with the new name, is on the classpath of the project.  In eclipse, go to project properties, buildpath, add the jar.  I don't know how to do this in iReports, but I think you can

2.  That file jasper_extensions, is in the jar jasper-x-x.jar.  You can open the jar and view the file with winRaR, modify, and save to the jar.

copying jasperreports.properties file worked with ireport 3.7.6.

But it is not working with ireport 4.5.1 upgrade.

Please help to set the global property in jasper reports.
