Overflow of field contents writing over next field

Hi,

I want to produce a report of Articles.
The report includes the article title, summary and publish date.

E.g.
  "Report title"
  "Contents Lorem Ipsum..."
  <PublishDate>    <Link to full article>

The article contents is quite long and can stretch from 2 to 4 lines in my reports.
With overflow, according to the height of the field, I either run over the publsh date or have a large space after short content (see attached screen shot).

I would like the publish date to appear immediatley after the contents, both for long and short contents, with a constant space between the content and the publish date.

How is that possible?
