embedding in commercial products for distribution or

customers who prefer the reassurance, commercial
licensing is available from Jaspersoft 

this implies that our customers need to pay royalties?

or

JasperReports is offered under GNU LGPL v3.  That's a permissive license, and you can distribute JR in commercial applications.  Check the license text in the JR distribution for the details.
