hangman01 Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 I have several reports that are produced by a common Java servlet as a .pdf file then printed. At random times a single report will be produced with garbled text. When I receive a report with the garbled text if I rerun the exact same report it now prints correctly. All of the reports that use the servlet have produced garbled text to varying degrees. I can see no pattern when or why the reports fail. All of the reports use the same database and for most of them the same tables. I am using jasperreports-2.0.4.jar in the servlet along with itext 1.02b.jar. Much of the text is one letter off from the correct letter, such as 'Association' becomes 'Bttpdjbujpo' but once in a while a special character appears. Has anyone else found this type of error?
