Jasper report in jasperserver 2.0.0

I created a particular report that uses a single parameter of the type java.util.Date. When i compile and run in ireport, the report runs fine. However when i deploy the report in jasperserver and setup an input control for date field, it doesn't. For any date that i choose, the report is always empty.

What could be going wrong?
