Print when (in footer) based on last group on page

Is it possible to detect (using a variable) the last group on a page; and then use that to control a "print when" expression in the footer.

For example, we have a report that produces multiple high level groups or sections. On the last page of each section we don't want certain static text or fields on the footer.

I can do this for the header element, as we reset page number at the beginning of each high level group/section.

Thanks

The in built functions:

Print when group changes

Print when detail overflows

...do not appear to be a solution to this. Any other ideas on how this can be solved?

The report produces a single PDF of one or more invoices. An invoice can be one or more pages. If invoice is more than one page long, need to print "carried forward + value" in footer.

Current Grouping:

Invoice

Invoicegroup (used as column header/footer)

Shipment [grouped by shipment]

Detail [invoice line]

Not using page headers.

Using page footers for repeated legal information and the carried forward figure.
