Conditional next page

I would like to create a document that is

generally a 1 pager, but has a section that

could possibly require a continuation page.

In my case, this is a comments area, that

if more than 10 lines are needed, it would

go to page 2. On this continuation page,

I only want, something like "Page 2 of 2"

and the remaining comment lines...

 

How do I do it? I've been using iReport

1.2.7, but this is my first attempt, and

I'm getting nowhere fast. If it's

documented somewhere, please point me to it.

It should happen automatically for you if you have the "Stretch with overflow" parameter checked on your field.

 

You should also make sure that the "Split allowed" band property is checked if you want data to simply spill over onto the next page.
