Page Header and Footer cant be displayed

Hi, All:

 

when I use iReport to generate some report, the Page Header and Footer cant be displayed if there is no data(in detail band) on the second page, only the summary band can be displayed...

Is there any way to make the header and footer visible?

Go to report properties -> tab more -> When no data = AllBandsNoDetail

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. But I am sure tried this way before. the second page still cant display page header and footer without any data in detail band...

I am trying to use a counter to limit the number of records that can be displayed on each page. any one get any idea on this? shall I use which method from abstractScriptlet class?

Please let me know when you find a solution. I have the same problem. In my report the summary will print on a new page, because on the first page there is not enough place. And on the second page, there is no page header and page footer.

I found the same problem in jasper samples...

pls have a look at jasperreports-0.6.0demosamplesscriptletScriptletReport.pdf. There are totally 3 pages of the pdf file, but the page header and footer cant be displayed on the 3rd page if no data...

help...

In my case I put the data in the summary, and this section was printed on a second page when there was not enough place on the first one. I found my solution here: http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/tips.tricks.html

I created a fake group and put the data in the fake group. Now it works fine.

 

My error was that I don't knew it, that the title and the summary are always printed without Pageheader and Pagefooter.

 

Do you mean this sample?

There are only two pages.

Not true.  If you do not select "Summary on a new page", it can print immediately after the detail band is finished, with the header and footer.  Apparently this behavior of printing on a separate page without header and footer happens only if there be some sort of interaction with an approaching page break (if you've not selected "Summary on a new page")...
