Report SQL Query in 0.3.0 disabled buttons

In migrating to version 0.3.0 I have an existing iReport. If I go to the Data Source | Report Query screen and make any change to the query the OK button on the dialog goes from enabled to disabled. I kind of assumed that I needed to tell it that everything was ok by clicking on the "Read Fields" button or something however when I do that I get an "SQL problems: This method is not yet implemented" . I have unchecked the "Automatically retrieve fields" check box on that screen so I'm not sure what this error is trying to tell me and I'm not sure how to modify and then save a query in the new version without modifying the XML source file directly.

 

Am I missing something here?

Just in case it matters...I have the same issue with 0.3.1 that I downloaded before it was pulled. I've also found that menu items such as Build | Compile or Build | Compile All don't work. I'm on Win/XP with the latest Sun JVM.

is there a solution for the "disabled button"
