Hi,

 

i tried creating some crosstab reports but it can be a very tricky job !?

 

Is there any roadmap available anywhere to help creating the jrxml ?

Yes it helps !?

It's very hard to build our own crosstab reports.

 

Shipment and Orders samples are very usefull but i spend a long time looking for the good syntax for my needs.

That's very awful when you have to adjust to the pixel some complex tabs !?

 

Well i'm going to wait for the new iReport release.

Hi,

 

Support for crosstabs is on the iReport roadmap and we hope it to be available soon.

In the meantime, you could use the JasperReports built-in report preview tool to ease crosstab design.

Check the "viewDesignXML" tag in our Ant files in the samples.

When the crosstab will be available in the iReport?

I was trying to place crosstab in subreport. I am unsuccessful. If is there any design too i want to try that!

Hi Teodor Danciu,

 

We are planning to use JasperReports in our project. Our reports are little tricky.Columns are not fixed.

 

We need to generate a report for a HTML page,where the data is already available. The number of columns in the report is variable.

 

I tried this by using combination of crosstabs and subreports. but I am facing lot of issues like -

 

1)Sometimes No errors, But i can not see the data. I am not sure what happening...

 

2)Sometimes my fillManager unable to fill the data

 

3)Sometimes it complain about width for column headers, sometimes it complain height for row headers... I am really not sure where exactly my data in the report.

 

4)I dont know how i query the "subDataset" for a CustomDataSource.

 

But we feel JasperReports perfectly fit into our project. So, I thought i need some training to get master into JasperReports. I even bought the online book authored by you. But still i need some sort of trining to get master and write any sort of template . Please suggest me is there any place where i can train or get any sort of help.
