Bursting ?

2006-02-09 09:00

Anyone have any ideas about how to acheive true bursting with Jasper ?

My best bet at the moment is outputinga whole report to xml and using xpath and xslt to create separate outputs peper group.

Anyone else tried anything for this ?

Hi,

What exactly do you mean by bursting?

Thank you,

Teodor,

In the simplest instance I mean outputing each group to a different location. So rather than exporting a large report to one PDF file (for example) you can report to a different PDF file for different groups in the report.

Cheers

Russell

Hi, I think bursting is a very important feature for a BI reporting engine and I really need it!

Why nobody answered to this topic?

Can I have some suggestion about and some details about Russell's solution?

Thanks to forum's people.
