Page Header not printing on summary

Is there a way to set the page header to always print on the summary page? I'm noticing it doesn't by default print when the summary section is created on a new page, or spills over to a new page. Thanks, Bob.

I am facing the same problem. My hack/solution is to just copy the elements again in the summary band. I have a "page x of X" and it works too since it is evaluated at the end.

I am sure there is a cleaner solution but for the moment this seems to work.

Yeah that would work assuming you always print the summary on a new page. I'd like to put the summary at the end of the report and only have it on the last page if it spills over. My summary in this case is just a few lines.

having the same problem and tried already with groups and subreports within summary section, but no chance...

 

it's no good solution to place the page-header a second time in summary-band because it's printed twice if summary shall not be printed on new page.

 

I hope that teodor will add an attribute to summary-band like "printPageHeader" of type boolean and if set to true, the global defined pageheader will be printed also on summary-band.

 

or does anybody here has found another solution already?

Uhh

 

I think I found a not so difficult solution:

 

1.) create a new group (e.g. "repsumgroup")

2.) place your elements from summary into groupfooter-band of that group

3.) make summary-band's height = 0

4.) place your page-header-elements from current page-header-band into groupheader-band

5.) make page-header-band's height = 0

6.) edit group-settings and set "print Header on each page" to true (i use iReport for design)

 

voila it should work (so it works with my reports) and even the page-footer appears on last page (what didn't worked with summary-band also)

 

So I've just to use a group instead of the base-band-elements (page-header, summary), but so the usage of a designer is still acceptable.
