Multiple fields in a group expression

consider a Group in a report

can the Group Expression be a set of Fields?

 

 

Eg.. : $F{col1},$F{col2},$F{col3},etc..,

No. You'll get a syntax error.

Assuming they are all of type String, make your expression a concatenation of them:

 

$F{col1} + $F{col2} + $F{col3}
