SubReport doesn't getting the parameter

Hi all,

I have a problem, Iam passing the name of the city from the main report to the sub report, where the City is the <subreportparameterexpression> in main report. And i defined the parameter City in the subreport too, while running the report, the subreportparameter is not passing the data to the subreport. can anyone please help me, what is the procedure i have to do in both the main and subreport design.

Very urgent!!! Please help me

Hi all,

I getting the parameter in the sub report but i can't able to link the parameter, In sub report all the data in the datasources are displaying for the first record of the main report data.

I think I'm finally getting what you and another person's having trouble with.

You're having trouble with getting the subreport to display data based on the parameter passed from the main report, correct?

If so, I believe all you need to do is create a group in your subreport that's based on the parameter you're passing in from the main report. And make sure that your data source is correctly grouped/ordered by the parameter value.

i tried that but its not working, the problem is actually the paramter from the main report is passed to the sub report only once, i don't know y can u help me out from this... can u list me what kind of things i have to do in the main report..

is that so only one time the parameter will be passed to the sub report??
