Cannot reference var/params inside a measure

Hi,

today I've seen that I cannot call a variable or a parameter inside A <measureExpression>. I get an error, while that variable or that parameter does not exist.

Could this be a bug or has this referentiation been forbidden for measures?

Hi

 

Inside a measure expression you can access any parameter/field/variable of

- the report, when you're not using a sub dataset

- the dataset, when you're using a sub dataset.

 

Which is your case?

Hi Lucian,

I am facing the same problem. I am not using any subdata set. But I am getting the same error when I use the variable of a report.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong?

Please post your JRXML.

Note that report variables can only be used in crosstab input expressions (measure and group expressions).  Crosstab cell element expressions can only use the parameters, measures and groups defined in the crosstab.
