2004 IR Help
By: Yan Liu - ersatx how to make jasper work with lots of columns 2005-06-01 07:06 I dynamically add lots of column in a report (a timeline). I don't know how to make those columns (and their data) automatically display on another page when there is no space left on the current page. Is this possible with Jasper? how? Thanks a lot. ludo By: jorge - sirion_oef RE: how to make jasper work with lots of columns 2005-06-01 09:35 you could rebuild your report design to use rows instead of columns, it is just change the orientation of the time line By: Yan Liu - ersatx RE: how to make jasper work with lots of colu 2005-06-02 09:48 Thanks for the suggestion, but wouldn't work: I have a lot of rows also. Any other suggestion? maybe using sub reports? By: jorge - sirion_oef RE: how to make jasper work with lots of columns 2005-06-02 11:10 if you have lost of rows when one page is full other begin. if you have several data, and several of them have a title, you could put that titles in the pagettitle section and the data in the details section. if you want make global history of the data, use the sumary section. i don't understand where is the problem, it is a time line, every line is a row; and don't understand the problem of be a lot of rows By: Yan Liu - ersatx RE: how to make jasper work with lots of colu 2005-06-02 19:16 I was speaking of my original report, not the one with timeline as title for rows: in my original report, I have a lot of rows AND a lot of columns. By: jorge - sirion_oef RE: how to make jasper work with lots of columns 2005-06-03 15:28 try seting page orientation to landscape, this will print the report horizontally and gives you more space. if you need a lot of columns, try changing the design of you report and use groups. other, make a subreport for display all data of the row in vertical format
