Hi, I'm new to Jasper Reports and IReport. I manage to create and compile a basic report using IReport but dont have luck integrating it in my java application. I'm having a hard time using the classes, I would appreciate if someone can point me to a good sample project or tutorial where I can see how it is being integrated.

Thanks alan. I've read the article and it gives me a quick know how of how jasper reports work and how to integrate it. I tried making a simple project but i wasnt able to make it run properly. I always get an error.

 

I think it would be better if somebody can provide me a very basic sample working project or tutorial.

Hi .I try this sample ,but it don't run.

I loading direct file jasper but error :

Exception : not valid 1 bit --->1 bit Unicode

 

when loading from file XML then have error.

net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: Error compiling report.

I use new versions.
