Hi all,

I have a tablemodel as data source. But the number of column is not known in advance.

 

The way I solve the problem is not satisfactory:

 

- I create a template (a jrxml file) with only 1 field.

- From the JasperDesign, I extract the field and copy all data (except the position) from the template field into a newly created one. (font etc.)

 

Is there a more elegant way to solve this problem or is this the way it should be?

I had a similar situation where the number of columns in the report is not known. I completed the report with "noXMLdesign" way. May be you should try this way.
