Receipt Printer/Variable height

I need to a receipt printer with continuous paper.

This means that the height of the report is variable.

Can I do this with Jasper Reports?

 

Moreover, is there a way to send commands to printers like these to cut the paper?

Maybe you can use subreports for that?

I never tried that, just speculating

I AM using subreports.

 

I'll try settings the top and bottom margins to zero.
