pageFooter is invisible

pageFooter is invisible

I created a very simple report with only one static text in the pageHeader and another one in the pageFooter. All other settings I left unchanged. The text in the pageHeader displays well in the Jasper-Viewer, but the text in the pageFooter does NOT display. The same is true with any other "object" I put in the pageFooter. What am I doing wrong? Thank You in advance.
