save report into *.jasper Files?

hi,

 

how can I save a JasperReport-Object into a .jasper-File?

I tried this, but only a short string is produced:

 

File theFile = new File("jReportSub.jasper");

FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(theFile);

 

String stringReport = jReportSub.toString();

out.write(stringReport.getBytes());

out.close();

 

The .jasper-File shows:

 

dori.jasper.engine.JasperReport@1551d7f

 

Knows anybody the solution?
