print field in detail band when group changes

can anyone guide me how to write an expression for a field.

 

problem : field A is in band details and it has to print only when group "MONTH" changes.

 

any suggestion are welcome.

1 - Set the field A text element band as group footer band.

2 - Position the field A text element in the detail band by setting a negative value to x coordinate.

 

If you are using iReport, it indicates a invalid position, since a group footer element is out of the group footer band.

This works even if the group footer height is 0.
