No query results == No report

I'm generating a report, sticking the HTML in a string buffer and then outputting to a JSP page. If there are no results returned from my query, I get no HTML. If it finds a single record, then the report renders.

 

Is there a way to make jasper render even if it gets no results?

Hi,

 

Use whenNoDataType="AllSectionsNoDetail" in your

report template.

Is there a way to conditionally show some text if the query returns no data? For example

 

No Items Found
