I saw in samples from JasperReports that it´s possible to create a report with a chart, using the JFreeChart tool.... You can provide the Image as Paramter or even in the ImageExpression directly call a method to generate the chart and return it ... as java.awt.Image, java.io.Inputstream ...whatever. In short, just include your chart as image. See the dtd of the imageexpression for possible formats how to provide an Image.
