2002 JI Open Discussion
By: Ulf Heyder - olpp wrong document width printing pdf export 2003-02-12 01:43 I have several JasperReports using exact width and height of DIN A4 format. I use these reports only to create pdf-documents. They look very fine in AcrobatReader 5.0.1 and 3.0 but when printing (without the option "shrink to fit") the margins are reduced from 2cm (~ 58pt) to 1cm on the left side and to 0.6cm on the right, so some of our printers cut some of the text. Using "shrink to fit" in printing dialog of AcrobatReader creates correct outfit (although it tells me that it shrinked from 100% to 99.9%, what is in fact not true when you look at the margin widths I mentioned above). Has anyone run into this problem before? Is this an iText problem or does my AcrobatReaders print wrong? I don't want to rely on this "shrink to fit" option when printing with Acrobat Reader. I don't want to ask our customers to use funny options when printing. Thanks in advance, Ulf
