Low quality charts in PDF

I'm creating some reports with Jasper Reports and JFreeChart... the report looks greate on the awt viewer, but when I print the report to PDF the chart loses some quality... just like the Chart Sample (http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/samples/ChartReport.pdf).

Does anyone have a solution? Is this a problem with iText?

Thanks, Theodord, but I do not think it solves this problem.

This patch (that I have already applied) improves the quality of scaled Images on JRPrinterAWT, but my problem is with JRPrinterPDF.

Any more ideas?
