Query builder tool to generate query for ireport

Hi friends,

I need all of your knowledge about integratation Of query builder tool with ireport1.2.4.

Environment i am using is Ireport1.2.4,Tomcat 5.5,Mysql5.0,Jdk1.5.

I want to use a query builder tool to generate a sql query when I drag and drop the fields from tables and that generated query will be served in Ireport to show the report .

 

So all what i want to know is is there any query builder tool for ireport .If there is other way round plz let me know as soon as possible.

Any code,instructions,samples,links will be useful to me.

Are there any differences in pentaho report designer and Ireport,jasperreports.

 

I got a assignment to figure out why one should go for ireports but not with pentaho report designer.
