Is possibile configure Oracle as repository to Jasper Server Community Edition ?

I need to configure jasper server to use Oracle as a repository.

I found some old answers on forums saying that this is not possible with the community version, however in the documentation of newest version it seems to be compatible with Oracle.

In the following link we have some instructions about how to configure Oracle JDBC:

https://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/tibco-jasperreports-serve...

In in some point it says that "These drivers require a valid JasperReports Server license", is not complety clear to me, if it refers just to "Commercial JDBC Drivers" session.

I'd like to know if jasper server Community Edition is really Oracle compatible, my goal is to use Oracle with both server repository and reports data source.

If yes, are there some tutorial or additional instruction to follow ?

1 Answer:

'Oracle RDBMS' does not appear to be supported as 'Repository' in 'Community Edition 8.0'.
https://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/v8-v80-v800/tibco-jaspers...
  --> Databases
     --> Oracle RDBMS

On the other hand, 'Commercial Edition 8.0' appears to support 'Oracle RDBMS' as 'Repository'.
https://community.jaspersoft.com/documentation/v8-v80-v800/tibco-jaspers...
  --> Databases
     --> Oracle RDBMS
