How to automatically generate joins in Jaspersoft (JRS)

I found an old training document in the Jaspersoft community that displayed a checkbox to Inspect new tables and automatically generate joins when adding new tables to a domain. That checkbox does not exist in 7.5.1.  Is there a way to automatically generate joins between tables added to a domain when the FK has been defined?

I think that was an abandoned feature that could never work quite right.
