Why is jaspersoft studio data filter expression ignored?

My filter is AND($F{severity}=="High",$F{isFound}==false)

but data preview includedes non-compliant values....

Seems to be some interaction with sort expression :-(
Turn around and tap your head 3 times makes it work

I am concluding filters with text strings are very buggy.

I've resolved the initial issue by having an integer substitute for severity, which works as expected

I have another situation filtering with string expressions, which again, doesn't work.However if i use the SEARCH function it does work. I am confident I am searching for the whole string, but == doesn't work, only SEARCH(...)>-1

This is basic stuff. Shame its not reliable
