Can Jasper Reports connect with Azure HDInsight?

Hi there,

We are trying to connect with a HDInsight cluster as a data source for report generation. We are aware that  it is possible to connect with other Hadoop distributions, but we have not found any information about connecting with HDInsight. We have tryed with the Tibco Hive Driver, which looks not compatible, and we have tryed to deploy the standard Apache Hive JDBC Driver, but we are not sure if  we are doing it the right way, because we are getting a "org.apache.commons.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot get a connection, pool error Could not create a validated object, cause: Method not supported at org.apache.commons.dbcp.PoolingDataSource.getConnection" error message when trying to test the connection. We are able to use the standard driver to connect with the cluster in Java classes, so we expect to get the same driver working with Jasper Reports.

Have you ever connected with HDInsight in Jasper Reports or it is currently not possible?
