How to merge table data Cells in the jasper report

Dear Team,

Is it possible to merge row for particular columns in the table, while iterating the data to the table.

For Example:

Data is coming in the format:

COLUMN HEADER 1	COLUMN HEADER 2	COLUMN HEADER 3	COLUMN HEADER 4
DATA1	SOME DATA	SOME DATA	SOME DATA
DATA2	SOME DATA 1 SOME DATA 2	SOME DATA1 SOME DATA 2	SOME DATA
DATA 3	SOME DATA	SOME DATA	SOME DATA

 

Can we split row 2 from column 2 - 4 .
