Not able to connect to oracle database

Hi ,

I am trying to connect to oracle data base in jaspersoft studio 6. 6.0 using  "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" . and i am giving below db details to connect to db :

jdbcurl : jdbc:oracle:thin:@172.168.1.1:1521:database Service nameUsername : ABCPASS: ****[/code]

while testing i am getting below error :

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor[/code]

i am giving databse service name to access db .

Kindly help.

Hi Hozawa ,

 

Actaully you are right.I was using wrong syntax to call service name .

It is fixed now . But now i am getting one more error. I have already asked question in cummunity for that . Below is the link :
