Ignore Table Joins if Field Isn't in Report

Hi,

Is it possible to create a domain utilizing joins but not enforce joins if fields from the joined table aren't requested in the report.

Example, if i want to create a report showing only customer data, can the domain pull from the customers table, and not use any of the joins to other tables?

If not, is the way around this using all Outer Joins?
