is_current function

Hi,

I've adding a calculated field in the Domain Designer of RRS within ResourceLink. I am using a function is_current which  compares two dates. 

However, I'd like to know

1. what language is_current is a function in ?
2. where I can find a list of functions and as well details on this particularf unction?

Can anyone help with this?
