edjung1000
I know this is a several year old thread but I wanted to update it with recent information since I too was looking for an answer to this.I spoke with a Jaspersoft Account Exec in the US today and he made it quite clear his interpretation of AGPL is that calling the server's REST API or using iframes to embed the server in your web application would trigger the copyleft provisions. He could not point to where this interpretation is published online and simply said that this is what AGPL is about. It's odd because Jaspersoft also makes client libraries available in github that have the LGPL license. You would think that means if you use those client libraries then you are firewalled from the AGPL terms. You can either accept their interpretation of AGPL, or can take a different interpretation and handle any legal challenges that they may choose to bring.
