Hide/Delete Table detail row?

Is it possible to delete or hide the detail row for tables?

I'm trying to create a stepped table with 3 row groups. The grouping works fine, but the results of the dataset are filling out the report. Essentially, I'm looking for a totals row for each group and no detail inbetween.

I want to try reusing the same dataset for graphs and table within the one report.

Is this poss?

I am researching the same thing.  I have a table that has a group and want to show the group header/footer data vs. detail band data.  Can't seem to find an option in JasperDesigner to delete the detail band in a table.
