[how to merge cells in reports if its have same Catogory value ??]

I am new to jasper ,

I want to know how to group if same value in rows ,those rows in perticular column should merge (Catogory), I would like to design as following plz help me how to do in eclipse step by step

I am new to jasper

In our organization we calling jasper server from another server by making call from java

here we are passing

url for jasper server and user name and password.

like that can i pass data source name or Db name and

Main problem is we have so many users more than 300 Clints  and having diff DB s based on the user we need to give Data source so i want pass db name and host name from the above url and based on that user custom data source should give that data .

please help me  to create custom data sources using url parameters or how to store url parameters in jasper server

Hi jasper master,

                                I am new to jasper , I want one server attribute in jasper server like   name as user and its value should be dynamic  . I reffered the JasperReports-Server-Admin-Guide in that static values only shown . I want dynamic values for the attribute.

value should be user name who logged in the server . is it possible ?

    I am using this attribute in data source definition . I need one data source it should connect different  DB in one(same) server , all  DB names in the server like user names only  and having same entities with different data.

so if one user connected to server I want to access that DB data for report .  hope you understand my problem.

Hi,

            I am new to jasper , I want to edit / add the content of .jrxml file which is already uploaded in jasper server .is it possible . except download the jrxml and editing .

I want to add  one field for data switching in so many reports and charts .

Dear jasper Master

                                          I am new to jasper ,  We have one jasper server and no of users and no of data sources respectively to the users .now all the reports and charts in the server need to  run /display for all users with their data . if one user connected to server with his/her  user id the data source should be him/her self , is it possible to use only one set of reports / charts useful for all users

(dynamically change the data source based on user ) what I have to do in JRXML file .or any other option ?

alredy these reports are imported from another server   is there any option available in server settings in jasper server  ?

Dear Jasper Master,

                            This is Rajasekhar, I have imported jasper reports and charts from one server to another , now i changed the data source for all reports and working fine, but i need to change the data source for all input controls which are working based on query .

is there any option or alternative  if i changed the data source for report it should automatically change the input controls (which are working based on query)

 

please help me if possible , I need to move several servers like this ,and change DS to no of reports manualy

[how to remove dependency from imported data sources in jasper reports]

Hi,

                     This is Rajasekhar,new to Jasper

                I have done export all reports in one sever and imported in another server , now we have different data source in new server configured and I mapped that new Datasource to all imported reports

now I want to remove imported datasource but it is not deleted and showing some objects are dependent on that datasource(i checked all input controlls are working based on imported data source only) I want to move all input controls related files to new data source, what can I do ? please suggest me.

[How to change datasource for imported Charts or Reports]

Hi,

I am new to Jasper , I have somany reports and charts in one server , Now i need to move these charts and reports to all different servers in diff locations , but each server having same structure of DB s but different data (data source names are diff but same table names and db names and structure also same ).

now i moved all charts and reports using export and import , but i need to change datasource names for all reports and charts  in each  and every server (bcz qyery is not executing)

Please tell me how to do this.. .....

[How to move input controls from one server to diff servers]

I need to push same reports in different servers , instead of creating same input controls again , how to use already existing input controls for all reports and charts along with input controls

( here different data resources for different servers and having same structure of Database along their tables )
just like Templetes and those should be useful  for all  servers (having different data source names but having same structure almost same data in diff servers )
