Got this format with a cross tab.

[Hide Group when sub table is null]

Create a variable and assign some value to it when the table is null (say 'a'). Then write the !$V{variable_name}=='a' expression in Print when expression property of the group.

How to get the below format in ireport designer. quantity,amount and product are the fields in sales table and I want to print the amount,quantity for each product on month base.
