Driver issue org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver

ClassNotFoundError!

Msg: org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver

Possible not found class: org.firebirdsql.jdbc.FBDriver

I have downloaded the newest version Jaybird and Java. java installed. not sure of what directory the driver needs to go in. i added the JAR's in the classpath and stil recieve this error. I am using windows 8 if that makes any difference.
