[Error Closing Context]

+1 Jasper Server 7.2.0 has this issue.

[ERROR JNDIResourceProvider,localhost-startStop-1:75 - error closing context]

I'm having the same issue. I'm not sure what this affects but I'd like to resolve this.

I have tried the above fix and it does not work. I have 5 text fields that span the whole width of the report. I have marked those fields as position type float and the 3 lines are still present at the end of the text file export.

There are 3 blank lines at the end of my report which is exported in text only. How is this solved? I have done the minimal size for my characters and page width and height. Please let me know.

[Problems with exporting to plain text]

So I has this same problem using the JRTxtExporter that came with Jasper. It would print a new line every 3rd line in the detail rotation. I tried EVERYTHING and it would still be there. Finally I looked at this post and gave me the idea of making the font very small to the limit.

 

What I found was putting each textfield to the height of 10 and font is SansSerif 8. Putting each band the exact size of all the textfields' heights sum and the new line was gone. Thought I'd share before someone goes through the agony of the same issue.

 

Just a quick note, I was creating a flat file with exact fixed field lengths to be consumed by an SAP component.
