[Graphics2DExport with transparent PNG (RGB)]

Hi,

 

I'm trying to export a report to jpeg using JRGraphics2DExporter. 

I have to insert two overlapping png 8-bit images with alpha transparency.

Exporting the report to PDF, transparency is preserved while exporting to jpeg, transparency is replaced by the background color.

Seems to be related to PNG's with RGB color table. RGB's with RGBA works correctly (See attached example)

 

I tried also JasperPrintManager but result is the same.

 

Can someone help me to find a solution or tell me if this feature can be implemented?

[iReport 5.0.1 / Ubuntu 12.04 : windows with i message null]

Same problem with Ubuntu 12.04, iReport 5.1.0 (and iReport 4.7.0) using OpenJDK version 1.6.0_27.

Using OpenJDK 7 (version 1.7.0_25) this problem disappears...and iReport is faster.
