[Expand collapse or tree view functionality in reports]

Anyone? Have I posted it in wrong forum? Do I need to furnish more information? I thought that Japsper reports community is vibrant. I am stuck over here. Any help would be highly appreciated.

 Table: five continents and countries in it.

Continent	Country
America	USA
America	Mexico
America	Canada
Asia	Japan
Asia	India
Asia	China
Australia	Australia
Africa	Nigeria
Africa	Kenya
Europe	Germany
Europe	England

 I want expand collapse rows. For example in above table I want to show only five rows one for each continent with say plus button on its left. When user clicks on plus button it will expand and countries in that continents will be shown and plus button will changed to minus button. When user click on minus button all rows will collapse and so on...

I searched on this forum and internet. However, I am not able to get any useful information to expand collapse. How to achive this in Jasper reports? I am using iReports 3.6.2 as my JasperServer does not deploy reports created from new iReports.

I did my own research and some how I was able to solve the problem. The clue was using input controls while uploading reports in JasperServer.

[Pass parameter from one report to another upon click]

I want to click on a hyperlink in a report (which actually is some value) and then pass that value to where clause in SQL of another report. I have read a few tutorials here & here. However I am not clear how to achieve this as I am very new to Jasper reports.

I have successfully installed iReports (3.6.2) and also have successfully added JasperServer(4.5.0) repository. I have also added two JRXML documents report one and report two I mentioned above to this repository in iReports.

Can anyone guide me to resource or link which can be helpful in this regard.
