ok guys, found a solution. After adding the property tag like said above it is working fine. <property name="net.sf.jasperreports.hql.field.mapping.descriptions" value="false"></property>

I'm having the same problem as above, whenever I use a sub-query or a JOIN statement for my HQL it throws me this error Error filling print... Unknown HQL return alias "". net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRRuntimeException: Unknown HQL return alias "". As said above I tried to change the global JasperReport properties in the Options but I couldn't becuase every field was disabled in my iReport. How am I suppose to resolve this problem now? Kindly help me out.
