[Shrink/Remove Text Field When No Data]

how did you get this working - please provide details. I have the same problem

[Remove line when blank and with fixed Band Height]

hello,

i need  to remove line when blank however maintaining a fixed band height.

My detail band height should be fixed.

 

example my detail shows 3 fields

Field 1

Field 2

Field 3

 

always i should have 3  lines

however if  field 2 is null, i have set the property remove line when blank

This makes the field 3 move up which is what is desired.

Currrent Layout

 

Record 1 abc

Record 1 def

---------------------------

Record 2 ppp

Record 2 hhh

Record 2 jjj

----------------------------

 

however this impacts on my layout since the next records fields are shifted up.

 

I used frame around all 3 fields but it is not helping

 

Expected Layout

 

Record 1 abc

Record 1 def

 

---------------------------

Record 2 ppp

Record 2 hhh

Record 2 jjj

------------------------------

 

Note there is a gap between Record 1 and Record 2 although line 3 has moved up the overall layout is unaffected.

Any suggestions please?
