I too am unable to log in to JasperServer 3.0. I get a Tomcat 404 error, and the log file says the same thing about wrong class for jdbc/hibernate. I used the Windows installer and did not touch the files, so I don't see how the system just doesn't work fresh out of the box.
About the acegi.jar, do you mean acegi-security-1.0.1.jar?
The log file and application context security xml files are attached.
