I'm able to alter these parameters from my scriptlet and if i include them in the report output I get the correct results (GMT+nn etc) BUT the report simply produces output in the original timezone and locale. I guess these is a local copy stored somewhere and altering the report parameters does not affect this local copy. Any workarounds / suggestions?

I followed the instructions for the war install which went pretty well. I then decided that I needed the sample data to see how things worked. Anyway to make a long story short the installation has a lot of entries where the mySql server is setup on port 3388 and several different (inconsistent) username password combinations. You may think of looking at the installation files to make this aspect easier for people trying out JasperIntelligence
