[Band height according to rotated text]

Hi Community!

 

I've a table layout report with some fields in the detail band which texts are rotated 90°.

 

The text allways wraps, but it should increase the field and therewith the band height. How can I obtain that?

I can't imagine that this shoud be possible with the current JasperReport version. But it sounds very interesting and also a bit futuristical (Videos included in reports?:P )

 

Would be a nice feature for future JR versions!

[String parameter length limit?]

Hi forum,

 

I've a String parameter with about 1200 chars. With this number of chars the report generation will never end.

 

With about 600 Chars it's no problem.

 

Is there a physical character limit for string parameters?

Would you like to have the same on each site...for example a continous table which is stretched over more than one page?

 

or do you want to design two complete different report sheets? in this case I suggest to work with two subreports and one main report. There are also other possibilities.

I use iReport 1.2.6 on Windows with the newest Jasper Reports version.

 

The subreport is located in the detail band (I need it for every dataset) and NOT on the top of this band. There are other items first.

I've a simple report which contains one subreport. The subreport has some datasets which need one or more pages couse of the long text.

There is a page break after the first site. How can I prevent it?
